The peak risk association SNP is rs61833239 in this region (p = 5.22 × 10–12). Of note, there were no variants in the coding region of AKT3 that were significantly associated with schizophrenia risk. The SNPs that were significantly associated with risk of schizophrenia were all in the non-coding region of AKT3
