The CCR5 edited TZM.bl and SupT1-R5 cells were protected from R5-tropic HIV-1infection. a Luciferase report assay to identify the HIV-1 infection level in TZM.bl. The edited cells were infected with R5-tropic HIV-1YU-2 or X4-tropic HIV-1NL4-3 at MOI = 0.5 or 0.1, cells were collected and lysed with 100 μl lysis buffer for luciferase activity detection at day 5. b The CCR5 modified SupT1-R5 cells were challenged with R5-tropic HIV-1YU-2 or X4-tropic HIV-1NL4-3 at MOI = 0.5.
