The mature sequence of miR-7 has a perfectly conserved type in many species, including Homo sapiens miR-7 (has-miR-7), Macaca mulatta miR-7 (mml-miR-7), Mus musculus miR-7 (mmu-miR-7), Drosophila melanogaster miR-7 (dme-miR-7), Danio rerio miR-7 (dre-miR-7), Asacris suum miR-7 (asu-miR-7).
