Ectopic over-expression of SOSTDC1 up-regulates the expression of p21Cip and p27Kip, and suppresses E2F transcriptional activity. a Western blotting analysis was performed to detect the cell cycle regulators CDK2, CDK4, CDK6, cyclin A2, cyclin B1, cyclin D1, cyclin D2, cyclin D3, cyclin E1, cyclin E2, p21Cip1 and p27Kip1 in indicated cells. α-tubulin was used as a loading control. b Ectopic expression of SOSTDC1 in the studied cells significantly inhibited the phosphorylation of pRb at Ser608 and Ser807 residues. α-tubulin served as the sample loading control. c Over-expression of SOSTDC1 attenuates E2F transcriptional activity using E2F-luc reporter assay.
