  1. Repair efficiency was determined as described in “Methods”. Twenty-one fmol of dI-containing DNA was incubated with 90 μg of HeLaS3 or HCT116 cell-free extracts at 37 °C for 30 min. Repair level lower than 0.3 fmol was regarded as background (–). Each data corresponds to the average and standard deviation from at least three independent measurements.
