Schematic diagram of the basic structure of P2 × 7R. A and B show the extracellular region and two transmembrane helices (TM1 and TM2) of P2 × 7R. The receptor is composed of two ATP-binding sites, two alpha-helical transmembrane domains, an intracellular N-terminus, an extended C-terminal tail, and a large extracellular loop.
